We inspect the Fukushima Prefectural Research Institute of Fisheries Resources where Fukushima‘s seas are studied and learn about “culture-based fishery” where young fish and shellfish are raised and released to supplement natural numbers for fishing. Next, we inspect “Matsukawaura” where Ambassador Matsuoka tries grilled flounder and experiences the “Hamayaki culture” that had ceased due to the earthquake. We discover Fukushima’s wonderful seafood and the passion for recovery of the people who live here.
