Hello! My name is Isabel and I’m from Germany. I moved to Aizu-Wakamatsu a bit more than one year ago and I’m now a PhD student at the University of Aizu. When I came to Fukushima-prefecture for living here, I was quite a bit worried about the current environmental situation. After more than one year in Aizu I’m convinced that this area still has some issues (like every place on earth) but also an amazing cultural heritage and wonderful locals. I would recommend to everyone to come to Fukushima and explore this fascinating place. Even for me I still have pleasant adventures in Aizu regularly. Fukushima is so much more than this disaster.
