The ocean spreads out as far as the eye can see.

無限に広がる福島の海

This is the coastal area of Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture.

This area is named Futami-ga-ura as it resembles the area of the same name located in Ise.

It's lined with beautiful white sands and green pine trees, and one can enjoy swimming.  The beach here is also known for marine sports.

かつて「夫婦岩」で有名な二見ヶ浦

The reason I came here was because of a show I saw on TV.

A TV personality visiting the three prefectures in Tohoku badly affected by the disaster(Fukushima, Miyagi, Iwate) , stood on the coast, and read a letter from one of the viewers. One of the pair rocks, that were characteristic of Futami-ga-ura, was destroyed in the Tsunami.

Comparing the photo included in the letter with the current scenery, they confirmed that one of the rocks had indeed disappeared.

I've thought long and hard about Fukushima's ocean.

It is unfortunate that due to all the fuss regarding the contaminated water problem, everyone all over the world mistakenly assumes that the entirety of Fukushima's ocean is dangerous, without even seeing it for themselves.

どこにもあるような、福島の海

I'm not so good with words, so I'll try express my feelings with actions instead(see below)

It is said that the ocean is the source of life.

There is no reason to be overly afraid of Fukushima's ocean.

Please come and watch Fukushima's ocean spread out endlessly infront of you.

Even looking at pictures will do, please enjoy these photos of Fukushima's ocean.

Because of the disaster, Fukushima's reputation fell, just like the rock that was swept away in the tsunami. However the people of Fukushima remain strong, and have united to realize Fukushima's recovery. Standing on the beach, one can here the cry of the ocean's waves.

潮騒が奏でるメロディとは?

Fukushima's ocean is calling out to those who visit.

'I'm fine!', and 'Thank you'.
