This is Fukushima.
Where local trains only come every hour or so.
Where supermarkets close surprisingly early.
It is far from being a big city like Tokyo.
But if you just try living here, I’m sure you’ll come to love Fukushima.
After braving the rough winter, the cherry blossom trees bloom.
In the sweltering mid-summer heat you can relax in the shade of a large tree.
In autumn, you can enjoy wonderful fruit, and the beautiful autumn leaves
Finally when the seasons finish a cycle, snow returns transforming Fukushima into a winter wonderland.
I’m proud to live here in Fukushima. Everyone who lives here is wonderful.
Part of what makes them so wonderful is that they are all doing their best to recover from the disaster.
Please take a moment to listen to their cries of ‘Fukushima is safe!’
