After the events of 3.11, the whole world turned its eyes to Fukushima, including many who had never even heard of the prefecture before.

Due to the nuclear accident, a lot of voices were heard including, ‘Fukushima is dangerous’, ‘you shouldn’t go there’, and ‘you should hurry and leave’.

Even though they have never been to Fukushima, there are many who have been swayed by the media, and the opinions of their friends.

I lived in Fukushima for three and a half years, and there are so many wonderful things there, it’s hard to know where to begin.

In Fukushima’s Naka-doori area, there are festivals including the Waraji-festival, lantern festivals, Sukagawa fireworks show, Mountains and hot springs including Hanamiyama, Iizaka-onsen, Tsuchiyu-onsen, great food such as enban-gyoza, and these are just a few of the many leisure activities that one can enjoy.
In Fukushima’s Hama-doori area which is located near the ocean, there are many places you can enjoy with your family and friends including, Aquamarine(aquarium), a Hawaiian resort, and Iwaki Yumoto-onsen.

In Fukushima’s Aizu area, there are many places surrounded beautiful nature, including Tsurugajo-castle, Lake Inawashiro, and many ski-resorts.

We must take care of Fukushima and its beautiful nature, kind-hearted people, and delicious food.

While I’m now living in Kyoto, I am always telling people about the wonders of Fukushima.

I think it’s worthwhile even if I can get just one person to realize the true Fukushima.

Please just once, take the journey to the Lucky Island, Fukushima, and confirm its beauty with your own eyes.

Fukushima won’t give up. Fukushima will always get back on its feet. NOTHING BEATS FUKUSHIMA.

I believe in Fukushima.
