Dear people of the world,
My name is Luseane Tupouniua and I am just another young woman living in a city that was never known to the world until four years ago. I have the privilege of being placed here in Fukushima City. As we all know and saw on the media Fukushima Prefecture has had its fair share of bad luck. When I received my placement saying I was to work here, I was at first reluctant… I was not happy nor was I excited but something told me to go… I packed my bags and moved here despite my fears of “radiation.” I can easily say after being here only 2 months that this was one of the best life decisions I’ve ever made. This prefecture has so much to offer the world and if given the chance the world can experience that great things the local people here have to provide. From the people to the food everything here is amazing. It saddens me that many of you do not get the chance to witness this first hand. So my plea to you is that you do not deprive yourself of this great prefecture based on what you see on the media, but come and enjoy it in the flesh!  You will not regret your decision. This prefecture has come a long way; give them the chance to show you.
