Since the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, the name Fukushima has been associated it with earthquakes, tsunamis, and radiation. It breaks my heart to still see pictures and articles online now that depict Fukushima as a "nuclear wasteland". So often, the foreign news outlets completely ignore the extensive recovery efforts being made. Fukushima has experienced a lot of hardships on its long road to recovery. But the scenery is still breathtakingly beautiful, the food is still safe and delicious and the people are still warm, friendly and stronger than ever.
Come visit and see for yourself all that Fukushima still has to offer!
