In just a few months, it will have been five years since the earthquake and I still constantly see false news about Fukushima being written and spread throughout the internet. I am deeply saddened to see people more interested in creating a negative sensation about Fukushima than a positive one when there are so many great things here.

I have lived here for about a year and a half now, and I’ve been on multiple trips and study tours throughout the prefecture. Fukushima’s recovery is far from over, this is very true. But that inspires the people of Fukushima to be the hardest working people I have ever met. There’s wonderful local food and drinks, hotels, scenery, and so much more, that’s all been proven safe. It’s a great place to call my second home.
