Dear Fukushima residents,
In the 3 months since I arrived in Fukushima, I`ve never stopped being in awe of the friendliness and resilience of the people of Fukushima. I am completely humbled to be working in place with such strong and courageous people. Working with many students from the evacuated areas, I’ve glimpsed into the horrors of what many of you had to face. What you`ve all done since the Great Earthquake is inspiring and absolutely worthy of admiration. I am deeply moved by your perseverance to carry on and revive Fukushima for the future of all its residents. This picture is from the Ceres firefighters back in California where I’m from. Know that there are people out there that care about you and are pulling for you. People of Fukushima, YOU ARE AWESOME!!! Keep on moving with the strength of the Akabeko!!!!
