Dear Fukushima Residents,

Thank you for welcoming me and for making me feel so at home half a world away from where grew up in three short months. Living in Minamisoma, an area that was damaged severely in 2011, I have seen a hint of the scale of devastation that happened as well as how much work has been done and is left to be done. I am constantly impressed and humbled by the local residents’ strength of character. The people of Fukushima have endured so much, but have rallied, and continue to rally to rebuild their cities. Please know that your efforts do not go unnoticed. While I live here, I will help however I can. Let’s work together and look toward the future to a vibrant Fukushima!
