HAMA04（Soma City）：Soma Journey！No.4（Hama, Naka, Aizu!）
Even though it was the first day of spring, Soma City welcomed us with a huge blanket of snow.
Most of the program members had led a snow-free life up until now. Thus the snowy scenery caused great excitement and everyone was taking photos and having snowball fights. On the other hand there were also those who were unable to control their emotions and shed tears after seeing the traces of the disaster. The stronger their love for their ancestors’ homeland of Fukushima, the stronger the pain they feel. All of those who participated in the program have their ancestor’s blood flowing through them. They are all connected by the same bond. I respect them for coming to Fukushima to learn more about their ancestors’ homeland. I feel that my time spent with them has made be come to love Fukushima even more. （End） |
