Hi my name is Chen Jiazhen, and I am a university student from China.
Fukushima is truly a beautiful place. It is home to many unique qualities born from its rich natural and historical environment.
I saw much beautiful scenery for the first time in my life, including snow covered Fukushima, and mountains alive with autumn colours. But what shone even brighter was the hearts of Fukushima’s people.
After experiencing the disaster, the people of Fukushima have remained determined to achieve recovery. When staying with a farming family, I could feel their kindness, even though we were unable to communicate using words. The time I spent in Fukushima was a very enjoyable experience.
I’d like to use the inspiration I received from Fukushima to put more effort into my daily studies.
