Sanbonyaridake mountain climbing

Sanbonyaridake is the highest peak in the Nasu mountain range and is located on the prefectural border between Fukushima and Tochigi prefectures. Lake Hibara Smelt fishing

Lake Hibara is famous for driving and camping in the summer and fishing for wakasagi on ice in the winter. In autumn, you can enjoy fishing by dome boat before freezing, and fishing on ice from late January to early March. Anglers come from inside and outside the prefecture, and the frozen white lake is crowded with colorful tents.

Season November-late March (Please note that fishing is not possible from late December to mid-January (usually) when the lake freezes.) * From November to late December, dome boats and houseboats are available in mid-January. From late March, you can fish at the ice house / hut.
