Japanese Maples at Hanitsu Shrine

A shrine dedicated to Hoshina Masayuki, the founder of the Aizu clan, and also known as the graveyard of the Matsudaira clan, the lord of the Aizu clan. The deciduous leaves of a dozen maples that fall like a red carpet is a masterpiece. The best time to see the autumn leaves is from late October to mid-November. It is also popular as a shooting spot such as the autumn leaves over the Taiko Bridge and the stairs that are dyed red with fallen leaves, and during the autumn leaves season, it is lit up at night.
